Hispanic Marketing at UIW
Located at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, the bachelor’s of business administration concentration in Hispanic Marketing recognizes that Hispanics, now 15 percent of the U.S. population, represent more than $950 billion in buying power. Considered the Madison Avenue of Hispanic Marketing for the large number of agencies catering to national clients’ Hispanic Marketing needs, San Antonio is an ideal place to learn the craft.
The innovative curriculum includes immersion in Hispanic cultural values, consumer behavior, advertising, distribution, and tools that evaluate marketing strategies and help students understand the different demographic, socioeconomic, and behavioral segments among Latinos. Students participate in numerous extracurricular activities as part of the curriculum, including internships, shadow days, and attendance at local, regional, and national Hispanic marketing conferences and events.
In addition to the internship opportunities with local agencies, students in UIW’s Hispanic Marketing Program network with leaders in the field: agency presidents, creative professionals, and others who have shaped the field of Hispanic Marketing since its inception.
